WIP: painting and modelling.


I've wanted to have a go at this idea since I started my Astral Knights and I've finally plucked up the courage to give it a try. Details and more pictures after the jump...

The concept is to have a unique model to count as Sammael from the Dark Angels. I've used the empire engineer mechanical horse and cut of the legs of the rider. The body and legs of the marine are from the Ravenwing bikers along with various other space marine components. To really turn it into a substitute for Sammael I've put a plasma barrel into the carapace of the horse as a replacement for the underslung plasma cannon of the jetbike.




The only things left to do are the twin linked storm bolters and the fact that it needs to be a jetbike...

My plan is to get some mechanical wings that will convert this into a mechanical Pegasus, the perfect substitute for a jetbike. The best ones I have seen are from scibor.

Other than this project I've been making slow progress on painting my Astral Knights Order of Angelus terminators.

      Cheers TMIAH, I was quite pleased with how it worked out, pity it had to be a plasma gun as a cannon was just far too big and overwhelmed the model. Hopefully the wings and stormbolters will work as well.
